About
Dr. Joseph A. Petrick is an Emeritus Professor of Management and International Business from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and Founding Executive Director of their Institute for Business Integrity after 24 years of service. He earned his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and his MBA from the University of Cincinnati, with graduate studies at the University of Bonn in Germany and the University of Tokyo in Japan. He has co-authored four books including Management Ethics: Integrity at Work and published over 80 articles in leading professional journals. Prior to his Wright State University service as a tenured business professor, Dr. Petrick also earned tenure as an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Northern Kentucky University, where he served as Program Chairperson and Executive Director of the Center for Applied Philosophy. He has first-hand experience as a manager in the private, public and nonprofit sectors and has taught both management and philosophy courses at the undergraduate, graduate and executive education levels domestically and globally for over 30 years. He is currently the CEO of Integrity Capacity Associates, a systems and organizational ethics improvement firm, CEO of Performance Leadership Associates, a managerial leadership development firm, and CEO of the Institute for Secular Wisdom, a philanthropic research and recognition firm. Dr. Petrick is committed to integrating the theoretical and practical dimensions of managerial wisdom and collaborating with other wisdom researchers to continually improve the understanding and application of leadership wisdom for the common good.
