About

Dr. Mitch Wolff has been a professor of Mechanical Engineering at WSU for over 20 years. From 2008 to 2012, he was the AFRL Scientific Advisor for INVENT (Integrated Vehicle Energy Technology). He is the co-author of over 120 technical papers and journal articles in the areas of high speed flows, propulsion, system integration, computational methods, hardware in-the-loop and unsteady aerodynamics. His research has generated over $4M and graduated 26 PhD/MS students. In 1999, Dr. Wolff was recognized with the SAE Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award & the ASEE Dow Outstanding New Educator Award. In 2003, he was selected by the Affiliate Societies Council of Dayton for the Outstanding Engineers & Scientists Award in Education. He served on a NRC  (National Research Council) Review Panel of NASA’s Aeronautics Research Programs in 2003. He is a fellow of ASME and associate fellow of AIAA.
