Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Here is your first issue of the Archives of Family Medicine , the 10th specialty journal of the American Medical Association, and the first new one since 1926. This is an exciting new endeavor for everyone involved and a tremendous leap forward for the discipline of family medicine. The Archives of Family Medicine will continue the tradition of excellence already established by the other American Medical Association specialty journals, but will also be unique. Publication will be monthly, providing sound academic, clinical, and practical information for family and general physicians. With a circulation of about 80 000, it will be sent to all office- and hospital-based physicians and residents in family and general practice around the United States, including doctors of medicine and osteopathy.
