Abstract
Trauma patients are recognized to be at increased risk for thrombo-embolic complications such as the development of a pulmonary embolism (PE). We reviewed our contemporary experience with PE with regard to its incidence, associated injuries, presenting symptoms, method of diagnosis and timing of occurrence at our Level 1 Trauma Center.
