Abstract
An evaluation of the Wright State University School of Medicine (WSUSOM) educational program is presented. The major objectives of the medical school's program are the graduation of physicians who (1) perform competently in their residencies, (2) practice humanistic medicine, (3) are skilled in self-directed learning, and (4) are interested in lifelong professional learning. Findings and the development of the methodology which will be used in future investigations are reported. This study is both an investigation of one class and a measure of success of the program's prime emphases. The appendices include question lists for graduates and for supervisors of residents.
