Reform and Punishment: The Future of Sentencing

Abstract

Only time will determine how the London terrorist bombings of July 7, 2005, will affect the English and Welsh proposals presented in Reform and Punishment: The Future of Sentencing. Perhaps, because the Halliday Report foresaw that “potentially dangerous offenders” would receive extended sentences, the events of July 7, 2005, will have little or no bearing on discussions of Reform and Punishment: The Future of Sentencing.
