Abstract

Miller and Hangartner report findings that they contend demonstrate the usefulness of bone density measurements to distinguish nonaccidental injury from intrinsic bone disease in infants with unexplained fractures. This letter is to express concerns with their report, relating to methodological shortcomings and the concept of temporary brittle bone disease.
