Abstract
An overview is given on the recent progress in the development of high-power microwave and millimeter-wave solid-state sources using spatial power-combining techniques. Several promising topologies are discussed, and four compelling technology demonstrations are presented that have emerged from recent government-sponsored research in academia and industry.
