Abstract

Glycemic control constitutes an important aspect of patient care in the surgical intensive care unit (SICU). This is a pilot study of a novel analytical tool - the glucogram - that allows for quantification of clinical significance of acute hyperglycemic states (AHS) as well as glycemic variability (GV) in the critically ill patient population.
