Abstract

The solubilities in hexafluorobenzene of He, Ne, Ar, Kr, N2, O2, CO, CO2, CH4, CF4, C2F6, C3F8, and c-C4F8 were determined at 1 atm pressure in the range 10 to 25°C. For comparison, the solubilities in benzene of CF4, C2F6, C3F8, c-C4F8, and Ar were determined under the same conditions. (Measurements by previous workers were available for the remaining gases.) The results were examined via regular solution theory and the more generally accepted semi-empirical correlations.
