Abstract
Reviews the book, Behavioral Analysis of Maternal Filicide by Joy Lynn E. Shelton, Tia A. Hoffer, and Yvonne E. Muirhead. Several leading texts have been published on maternal filicide but they are becoming dated and we are still grappling with the complexities surrounding why mothers kill their children. The authors revisit the topic in order to provide new insight into the troubling persistence of this behavior.
